HOUSE SHRINE by Melissa Long Krosnick

Resident artist Melissa Long Krosnick has a new piece in the Artisan Depot’s Craft: Made by Hand exhibit, which runs through October 14. The Frame Shop in Sewanee will feature her PREACHING TO THE CHOIR, a mixed media “story box”, in a PopUp exhibit during September; the artist’s reception will be held September 7.

Local artist & arts educator Sunday Perkins is offering morning and afternoon drawing classes for adults on Tuesday at the Cowan Training Center. To learn more or to sign up visit the class pages:

We always welcome talented individuals seeking to share their knowledge and skills with others. If you’re interested in teaching a class or workshop, giving a lecture, producing a play or concert, or have an idea for an activity we haven’t thought of, get in touch! We’d love to help you share your passion by helping you coordinate your event, helping you recruit students, publicize your event, schedule a space – all at very reasonable rates.

Cowan Community School is a place for people to come together. We know how difficult it can be for clubs, small organizations, friends, and families to find gathering places for their events that won’t break the bank.

Our event spaces are attractive and well appointed, nestled in the middle of the beautiful little town of Cowan. You can have a world class conference, an intimate gathering, or a blow-out party without blowing the budget.
